One of the two burner orifices is not lit up for my Carrier gas furnace. The unit is about 10 years old. The pilot has flame on it though.
Gas is usually a little dirty and can clog a burner orifice. Try poking something into the orifice the clear it out. Not a tooth pick because it can break off inside then really plug it up. but try using a very small drill bit by hand and poke it in there to clear the orifice. A small paper clip may also be thin enough to fit into the orifice hole.
Welders use wire pipe cleaner type tools that are almost like little round files that have little burrs on them to clear out debris from a torch tip. But a small enough drill bit works just as well. Just remember to do it by hand.
