Subaru WRX or Dodge SRT-4?

I love both but i am definately intending on getting a bov and i heard that kills the WRX, and i've heard the srt-4 is factory tuned to more boost. and that the WRX doesnt take well to mods?

First off, vented BOV's are for children - just my opinion please don't get offended. The WRX is a higher quality car which needs serious modifications to increase power and reliability. You will have to upgrade the pistons at least to handle higher boost without cracking - because they will crack. You will need to tune this car properly and you will need to replace the center differential with an lsd made for the street so you don't destroy the transmission when you launch your car.

Now the SRT-4 (first gen) is more mod friendly than the WRX. To increase the boost on this car plus computer mods and engine internal upgrades are 1/4 the cost of WRX mods and it can handle it. That's why everyone hates the SRT-4, but the SRT-4 is fwd only - shameful because it could be a WRX killer in awd - but the new caliber srt-4 is awd and could be though.

The question is how much money you got to spend and can you drive an awd car? Most people cannot drive an awd car without mods to the tranny - no offense but I rebuild the WRX transmissions all day long because the owners can't drive and they use 3, 4 and 6 puck clutches which kills the tranny on dry pavement w/ a 50/50 split center differential (you must use a 70/30 type for the street). It's just how the tranny is designed. An experienced driver can beat an STI with a WRX on a road course and not destroy the tranny.
