What to do with a non-insulated floor?
We have a small house behind ours, a two story totaling at around 730 square feet. The problem is, the ground floors floor has no insulation. It is only about 8"-12" off the ground. There are beams running across with wood on top and on top of that carpet. Is there any way I can insulate the bottom effectively? Thank you!

imagine all your windows open 8-12 in what would you do --of course close the windows the same problem under the house , put something around the house to stop the free flow of air what works well and is cheap is hay or straw----will raise the temp under the house.
anything you have available to do this will result in a warmer floor but still not the same temp as in house ---add a second layer of carpet and you should be almost their.
