I have a question about fish tanks?
I am looking for a new fish tank, currently I have a male Betta and he is living in a 1.5 gallon tank. I think he looks a little cramped in it, and I would like to get something bigger that I can also use for other fish if anything should ever happen to my Betta.
I am looking at maybe getting this tank

The reason bettas are always in separate containers is that they are VERY territorial. Putting the betta in with other fish may cause problems for the less aggressive fish. Whatever you do, do NOT put two male betta in the same tank. They will fight until one dies.
The 10 gallon tank is suitable for small fish like guppies, tetras, and tiger barbs. The rule-of-thumb is one inch of fish per gallon of water. Therefore, a ten gallon tank should have no more than 10 one-inch fish , or 5 two-inch fish, or 3 three-inch fish. Exceeding this rule makes imbalances in the nitrogen cycle more likely to occur, which could cause all of the tank's inhabitants to die.
Furthermore, some fish are more sensitive to water quality than others. Bettas don't require active filtration, but aquariums without filtration should have a 25% partial water change once a week. You should remove 3 pints (6 cups) of water from your 1.5 gallon tank, and replace it with 3 pints of clean, treated water each week. Failure to do this won't quickly kill your fish; the betta will get used to the dirty water. But, any new fish you add will react badly to the water, and may die. Failure to keep the water clean can lead to disease and parasite infestations also.
Filtration for a 10 gallon tank can be an undergravel filter, or a corner filter filled with carbon and zeolite. Both filters require an Air Pump, tubing and airstones. Plan on doing a 25% partial water change once per month with a filtered tank. You don't need more than a 50 watt heater.
