) Je nach eingesetzter Grafiklösung kommt das EliteBook 6930p entweder mit einem Intel PM45 oder aber mit dem GM45 Chipsatz. In Verbindung nennt HP eine ganze Reihe an Prozessoren, die mit dem 6930p eingesetzt werden können: P8400/P8600/P8700/T9400/T9550/T9800 – allesamt Modelle der aktuellen Intel Core 2 Duo „Penryn“ CPU-Palette. Mit dem T9800 Chip könnte einer der aktuell stärksten Zweikernprozessoren eingesetzt werden (2.93 GHz, 6MB L2-Chache, TDP 35W). Damit sollte auch das Kühlsystem ausreichend dimensioniert sein, um bei einer leistungsschwächeren CPU einen angenehmen und dauerhaft leisen Betrieb zu ermöglichen.
Die Modelle mit eigenständiger Grafikkarte (
hp pavilion dv9000 akku
) (PM45 Chipset) erhalten einen Chip von AMD/ATI. Die Mobility Radeon HD 3450 Grafikkarte ist als Einsteiger Grafikchip einzuordnen, der sich in etwa auf selben Niveau mit einer Quadro NVS 150M bzw. einer Geforce 9300M GS vom Konkurrenten Nvidia befindet.
All zu hohe Anforderungen sollte man aber auch dieser eigenständigen Grafikkarte nicht entgegen bringen. Bei klassischen 3D Anwendungen, sei es bei professionellen CAD Animationen oder aber auch bei weniger seriösen Computer-Games, geht dem Grafikchip vergleichsweise rasch die Puste aus. Unterstützung bietet die Grafikkarte vor allem bei der Decodierung von HD-Videos mittels der integrierten Avivo Videofunktionen.

) Sofern sie auf dieses Feature verzichten können, sind Sie vermutlich auch mit der Ausstattungsvariante des HP 6930p mit integrierter Intel 4500M HD Grafik gut bedient. Damit sind alle gängigen Standardfunktionen unter Office kein Problem und man kommt außerdem in den Genuss eines besonders energieeffizienten Betriebes. Auch unser Testsystem war mit dieser Grafiklösung ausgestattet. Als Prozessor kam allerdings eine T9400 CPU zum Einsatz, die mit 2.53 GHz zwar zu den leistungsfähigsten ihrer Klasse gehört, mit einem TDP von 35W aber auch einen gewissen Energiehunger auf ihrer Visitenkarte verzeichnet. Interessanter, speziell bei einem geplanten mobilen Einsatz des Notebooks, sind da schon die Chips der Pxxx Reihe von Intel.(

) Diese begnügen sich mit einem TDP von 25W und schonen damit sowohl Akku als auch das Kühlsystem des Gerätes. Sofern keine außergewöhnlichen dauerhaften Belastungen zu erwarten sind, sollte man auch mit diesen Prozessoren das Auslangen finden.
Im PCMark 2005 Benchmarktest erreicht das HP EliteBook 6930p (

) mit 5072 Punkten ein durchwegs gutes Ergebnis und positioniert sich damit in etwa auf einem Niveau wie das Dell Latitude E6400 mit vergleichbarer Ausstattung.
Beim Arbeitsspeicher verbaut HP (

) leider nach wie vor DDR2 Arbeitsspeicher. Bei unserem Testmodell begnügt man sich etwa mit nur 2 Gigabyte, allerdings komprimiert auf ein 2GB-Modul, sodass ein späteres Aufrüsten kein Problem darstellt, da ein RAM-Slot nach wie vor frei bleibt.
Dutzende verschiedene Varianten findet man auch hinsichtlich der Ausstattung beim Massenspeicher. (

) HP nennt klassische Festplatten mit einer Kapazität von bis zu 250GB mit einer Geschwindigkeit von 5400 U/min bzw. 7200 U/min als verfügbare Datenträger. Die 7200er Version soll dabei auch über einen 3D-DriveGuard verfügen, der die Festplatte im Falle von Erschütterung vor möglichem Datenverlust schützt.(

) Auf der absolut sicheren Seite ist man allerdings mit dem ebenso angebotenen 80GB Solid State Drive, welches einerseits absolut erschütterungsunempfindlich, und obendrein noch lautlos ist. Aufgrund der vergleichsweise kurzen Zugriffszeit und den hohen Schreib/Leseraten, wirken sich hochwertige SSDs auch sehr positiv auf die Systemleistung aus.
In unserem Testsystem war mit der ST9160823AS eine herkömmliche, (

) allerdings durchwegs leistungsstarke Festplatte von Seagate verbaut. Mit Übertragungsraten von bis zu 59.4 MB/sec und einer Zugriffszeit von vergleichsweise flotten 14.8 Millisekunden im HDTune Benchmarktest zeigt der Massenspeicher ein interessantes Preis/Leistung Verhältnis.
Games
Dass das EliteBook 6930p nicht wirklich ein Gaming-Notebook ist, dürfte außer Frage stehen.(

) Allerdings könnte auch der eine oder andere Office User nach getaner Arbeit in Versuchung kommen, sich bei Klassikern wie etwa World of Warcraft oder Sims 3 zu entspannen.
Wir haben uns die beiden Spiele etwas genauer angesehen. Wow lief bei minimalen Details (800x600) mit durchschnittlich 55.7 fps, und damit ausreichend flüssig. Ein Erhöhen der Detailstufe auf Mittel und der Auflösung auf 1024x768 Pixel drückte die Performance auf kaum spielbare 14.4 fps. (

Ähnlich ging erging es uns auch mit Sims 3.(

) Bei minimal möglichen Details und einer Auflösung von 800x600 Pixel lieferte Fraps eine durchschnittliche Framerate von 41.2 fps. Sims 3 war so durchaus spielbar. Mittlere Grafikdetails und eine höhere Auflösung von 1024x768 Pixel senkte die Framerate auf durchschnittlich 15.4 fps ab. Mit minimal 3 fps waren hier schon deutliche Ruckler zu verzeichnen, und das Spiel nur noch mühsam spielbar. (

Mit der alternativ erhältlichen Grafiklösung von ATI kann hier das Ergebnis mit Sicherheit deutlich verbessert werden, und ein Spielen mit vertretbarer Grafikqualität der genannten Games möglich sein.
How do you replace batteries on One-touch can opener?
I threw away the instructions that came with the can opener and can't figure out how to replace the batteries. I cannot find any instructions on the web. I called the 800 number but didn't understand the accent.
Look on the back there is a place that says push down to open to replace batteries; It is kind of hard to open but it does open.
As far as those accents go, I always tell them I need to talk to a supervisor that I am hard of hearing (I*m not really) but it works
