about a spa filter presure?
My spa filter show no presure when I turn it on, and my heater is making a lot of noice. any body knows what do I need to do to resolved this problem?
TURN EVERYTHING OFF!!! There is no water going through your pump (it is dry) and you'll burn up the ceramic seal inside of the pump motor.
You must prime your pump. That means that the pipes around the pump must be filled with water BEFORE you turn the pump on.
Go to a hardware store and buy what is called a "water wiener". You should know the diameter of the pipes that carry water from the skimmer to the pump as the wieners come in different diameters for different diameter pipes. It is most likely that your pipes are 2.5 to 3 inches in diameter. If you don't know the diameter of your pipes, go to your skimmer, pull out the 'leaf' basket and measure the pipe.
The wiener screws onto the end of your hose just like a spray nozzle ... push the wiener into the pipe and turn the hose on. Open the Air Release valve on the filter. When water starts to come out of the air release valve then the pipes (and filter) are full of water.
Turn the pump on, quickly turn the hose water (bend the hose) off and pull the hose from the skimmer pipe. Close the air release valve and you are good to go. The Pressure Gauge on the filter should immediately go up to around 8 or 10 lbs.
