my HOT TUB has problems?
i have a hot tub and i decided to fill it up and turn it on so i filled it up with water and did all the steps to operate it turn thermastat down and open valves and airbleed valves ect.... i turned the spa on and it the heater pumps out water out of one jet but the jets wont turn on? thier is no air in the system because i checked all of the possiblilites for it. i checked all breakers and even tested the fuses but they still dont work and i know the jets have to work in order to circulate to maintain hot water. what do you suggest i can do myself to fix it. it is a united spa system C-5 and the heater is beach craft and 240 volts. Worked over summer with no problems. please help!!!!!!!!
The good news is, is that it pumps water out. If it struggles start, but it sounds like the motor(s) are trying to run it could still have air in the tubing even though you bled it. I have a Cal Spa and this has happened to me twice after refilling it. Try bleeding it one more time and then follow your manufacturers directions for priming the pump. If this fails, use a sanitized or new plunger in the filter socket while it is not running. To do this, remove the filter and put the plunger where the filter should be and plunge it firmly a few times. Then try to restart it. Repeat if necessary. Once it is going, run it through all the cycles for a minute or two to ensure that all the air is out of the lines. Then reinstall your filter. I had to do this the two different times when my Cal Spa struggled to start for me after refilling. Good Luck with this.
