and what is a big wheel kit?
Each manufacturer has a "Name" or designation for each model to differentiate them from each other and those of the competition. The CR 80 is Honda's 80cc 2-stroke MX bike.
MX standing for "Motocross".
Typically a Motocross bike is designed for racing. It will not have D.O.T. approved equipment nor a spark arrestor and cannot be ridden on Public land without a spark arrestor.
Yamaha makes a similar motocross bike and their designation is YZ80 - although the 80cc model has been replaced with an 85cc model-the YZ85.
Honda makes a Trail bike of similar size called the CRF 80 (the "F" notating Four stroke).
It has a 4-stroke engine and is not nearly as powerful as the 2-stroke MX bike. A trail bike typically has a softer suspension as well.
A big wheel kit is a kit which will upgrade a bike to larger wheels.
The regular CR 80 comes with 14" rear and 17" front wheels. The Big Wheel version has 16" rear and 19" front wheels.
It also has a longer swingarm to accomodate the larger rear wheel and some other miscellaneous parts made larger or longer.
These kits are useful for upgrading bikes as kids grow - without the expense of buying a whole new bike.
